The Hellenic Society of Cardiology in collaboration with the Hellenic Society of Surgeons thorax, cardiac and vessels, the two Working Groups of Haemodynamics and Interventional Cardiology as well as the Electrophysiology, organizes once again the Congress ICE 2017 , this year in Heraklion, Crete. The congress ICE has grown into a leading and highly successful scientific institution.
Each year we strive to uphold the highest standards for the Interventional Cardiologist and Electrophysiologist. Both fields are especially demanding as has become linked to rapidly changing technological developments. Our aim with this Congress is to ensure that the Interventional Cardiologist has access to all new information and techniques.
This is after all one of the most fundamental responsibilities of all doctors. It is imperative that they remain apprised of the latest developments of the science which they serve. The need for continuous training becomes even more pressing for this specialty as it goes beyond pure medicine.
During the three-day program (December 15-17) Experts in Greece and abroad present the latest developments in all sectors of interest giving participants the opportunity to attend several specialized workshops as well as lectures and debates.
The program is a credit to the experience and enthusiasm of the members of the two societies and two Working Groups.
On behalf of the board of the HCS I would like to thank the Members of the Board, the nucleus of the Hemodynamic-Interventional and Electrophysiology Working Groups and especially the President of Cardiac Surgery Dr S. Prapas for their efforts in making this Congress a success. I invite you all to participate in the Congress and enjoy your stay in the beautiful city of Heraklion.
I wish you all a successful and fruitful congress.
